Super Junior, So Nyeo Shi Dae, and Seo Taiji ruled the top album sales for the first half of 2009

July 1, 2009 – Hanteo.com, central source of music sales ranking revealed that in the first half of year (Jan 1-June 27 2009) the artist who got the best sales is SUPER JUNIOR 3RD ALBUM

After its release on March 13, 2009 Super Junior with their 3rd album “Sorry, Sorry” had been very well received by fans that it sold over 109,000 copies. While SM Entertainment reported the sales had surpassed 200,000 albums.

Second place belongs to So Nyeo Shi Dae. Back on Jan 7 2009, they came out with ‘Gee’ which sold over 72,000 copies (SM reported over 100k) which is a great success for SNSD. On June 29, SNSD also released a new mini album “Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)” which is also very well received in Korean music industry.

Third place goes to ‘President of ’90s culture’ like Seo Taiji. His 8th album’s second single ‘Atomos Part Secret’ was released on March 10 and sold over 59,000 copies.
