| Popular idol group Super Junior is invited to participate on the highly-anticipated pan-regional music event "MTV Asia Awards 2008 or MAA 2008" (MTV Networks Asia's Flagship Show) representing one of Korea's popular artists to mingle with other Asian artists from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. Super Junior joins a previously announced list of invited Korean artists including Big Bang, Girls Generation and Wonder Girls.
Avril Lavigne, Fergie of Black Eyed Peas, Justin Timberlake and Linkin Park are also the anticipated guest International artists on the said event to mingle and perform with Asian artists like Super Junior.
MTV Asia Awards 2008 that celebrates and pays tribute to Regional and International Music Talents will be held at the Arena of Stars in Genting - City of Entertainment, Malaysia on August 02, 2008 and will be hosted by Jared Leto of 30 Seconds to Mars.
This year, MAA 2008 will be presenting a total of 16 awards during the show to honor and promote the icons of youth culture and music.
